Jefferson Townhomes includes 5 market rate homeownership units located at 600-608 West Jefferson Street in the Ludlow Neighborhood. This development was constructed on a vacant lot adjacent to Villas de HACE Low Income Housing Tax Credit Development – HACE’s first affordable rental housing development for families developed in 1991.

The overall design of Jefferson Townhomes incorporates a modern aesthetic that complements the existing housing in the surrounding community. These new townhomes are twenty feet wide, exceeding the typical width of properties in the area by five feet and were designed to accommodate contemporary lifestyles with an open floor plan and one car garages. Some units have 2nd floor balconies, while others have large 2nd floor bay windows. Each unit offers two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a room that can serve as a guest suite or home office. This new construction development was also designed to meet energy efficiency to achieve a Home Energy Rating System (HERS) to meet all the requirements for Energy Star Qualified Homes.

A portion of the sales proceeds generated from this project were invested in the development of Casa Indiana, HACE’s affordable rental housing development for seniors 62 and older— completed in June 2020.
